As of July 2018, the Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) has successfully identified approximately 132 MIAs from the Oklahoma since the first identifications in 2016.
To see the up-to-date list of all the identified MIAs, visit: http://www.dpaa.mil/Our-Missing/Recently-Accounted-For/ and filter for the USS Oklahoma.
The purposes of the project include providing funds to raise awareness to the general public and return the remains of the Sailors and Marines lost on December 7, 1941 with the sinking of the USS Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor. Make sure the government is using the latest DNA technologies to identify them and return them home to their families for proper burial.
We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to identify and lay the MIAs from the USS Oklahoma to rest.
For 8 years, we have been a part of the Department of Defence POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) project to exhume and identify unknowns from the USS Oklahoma. We have a severe need to continue this project and thus, the USS Oklahoma Remains Preservation Project was born. We need your help now, more than ever. This project has finally received the visibility it needs to continue and we must continue to push forward and identify all of the MIAs from the attack on Pearl Harbor. We won't give up. We need your support and you can make a difference. Please consider supporting our historic cause.

We are always in need of volunteers. We accept monetary donations as well as donations of time. We are a passionate group who are heavily invested in seeing this project through until all 388 remains have been identified and returned to their families. We are in need of people of all talents - grant writing, fundraising, marketing campaigns, event and project sponsorships and much more!
